About the author
Raymond bliss Born in Wimbledon in the southern suburbs of London in 1934, he began to devote himself to creation at the age of 13. At the age of 15, he entered the Wimbledon School of Art and received an orthodox art education. He has won the British Kate Greenway Gold Award twice with "Mother Goose's Treasure" and "Christmas Dad"; the picture book "Snowman" is his most famous work, and the adaptation of TV animation was not only shortlisted for the Oscar for Best Short Film, It also won the Best Children's Program Award from the British Academy of Television, and it is regularly broadcast every Christmas, becoming a common memory of the British.
In February 2017, Raymond Bliss received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Book Trust. In June, he was awarded the Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in recognition of his contribution to literature

作／繪者簡介
雷蒙布里斯Raymond Briggs
1934年出生於倫敦南郊的溫布頓，13歲就開始投入創作。15歲，他進入溫布頓藝術學院，接受正統的藝術教育，經過四年的訓練，他確信自己不適合當所謂的「藝術家」，而決定以插畫家作為終生志業。無論在兒童或成人書的範疇，布里斯都是最知名，也是最受歡迎的插畫家和作家之一。
他曾以《鵝媽媽的寶藏》和《聖誕老爸》兩度贏得英國凱特格林威金牌大獎；繪本《雪人》則是他最著名的作品，改編的電視動畫，不僅入圍奧斯卡最佳短片獎，更榮獲英國電視學院最佳兒童節目獎，並且在每年聖誕節固定播出，成為英國人共同的回憶。1991年，《聖誕老爸》及續集《聖誕老爸渡假去》也被改編成電視動畫。
2017年2月，雷蒙布里斯獲得英國圖書信託基金會頒發的終身成就獎。6月，獲頒大英帝國司令勳章（CBE），表彰他對文學的貢獻。2022年8月，雷蒙布里斯逝世，享壽88歲。
