This four-year, four-volume series is designed for use in secondary schools and developed in accordance with ACTFL National Content Standards. Huanying continuously intertwines students\' learning experience with the "5-Cs" of foreign language learning: communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities. The series\' textbooks are organized around topics that are essential to everyday communication-for example, Volume 2 includes food, weather, travel, and shopping. A Curate language usage is introduced through simple yet systematic language notes. Nearly all workbook activities integrate two or more skills, which mirrors real-life use and helps improve students' overall language proficiency.
