1966年生於臺北。畢業於國立藝專雕塑科，一直從事創意相關工作。
作品曾獲信誼幼兒文學獎、金鼎獎最佳插畫獎、豐子愷兒童圖畫書獎、德國國際兒童青少年圖書館白烏鴉獎，並多次入選義大利波隆那書展與德國法蘭克福書展臺灣館推薦。
對他來說能為孩子創作是一件很快樂的事，為了創作，他會特地搜羅一些相關的書研究一番，還把這些元素不著痕跡的轉化成童書語言表現，讓孩子看得懂、讀得開心，沒有任何教條式的言語，自然的讓孩子接受重要的觀念。
