When creating this book, Li Jinlun once said: "I like to draw real cats, so that the book will have the weight of these real children."
She publicly solicited "cat models" on Facebook that day. She received many application letters and photos one after another, and some owners specially asked her to draw their cat together with many cats: because it is not very popular. In the end, a total of 103 cats were selected, and the various expressions and postures of the cats were also collected in the book. It is worth mentioning that there are many "cat models" who are adopted stray cats, some cannot see or hear, and some have three legs; however, every owner loves his cat very much and never abandons it.

她在臉書公開徵求「貓模」，當天陸續收到許多應徵的信和照片，還有主人特別請她把自家的貓和許多貓畫在一起：因為牠人緣不太好。最後總共有103隻貓咪入選，貓咪的各種表情姿態也都被收藏在書裡了。值得一提的是，有很多「貓模」是認養來的流浪貓，有些看不見或聽不見，有的是三條腿；然而，每位主人對自己的貓都疼愛有加、不離不棄。

蜜雪兒．羅賓森（Michelle Robinson）
在英國西南部的格洛斯特郡（Gloucestershire）長大，現居英國西南部薩默塞特郡（Somerset）的小鎮弗羅姆（Frome）。從小就喜歡閱讀、編故事和耍寶。當過廣播文案寫手，寫過逾六千則廣播文案，也當過電視和網站文案寫手。喜歡創作有趣、適合大聲朗讀的圖畫書，還有能一讀再讀，父母和孩子都會喜歡的作品。超愛巧克力，她如果不是沉浸在大啖巧克力的時候，就是在忙著創作好看的圖畫書。
繪者簡介
李瑾倫
在臺北出生長大，現在定居高雄。創作圖畫故事書是她一生的工作，打定主意要做到不能再畫的那一天為止。除了畫圖，她還非常非常喜歡動物，動物和人一樣，會開心、會傷心、也會膽小害怕和生病，希望世界上所有的人都能感同身受。希望有一天，這個世界裡沒有動物園（這樣動物就不會被帶離開家一直被關著），也不會有動物表演（因為牠們往往會被殘忍的挨打和一輩子住籠子）。她的身邊一直有動物家人，街上的貓和狗都是她的朋友。
