Continuous small actions can bring big changes

Akai lives in a remote mountain. She only loved herding since she was a child. She didn't like reading, and she couldn't understand why her sister loved reading.

A strange woman, unafraid of the cold and the cold, not afraid of the long journey, regularly delivered books to Akai's house. He knew very well that this section of the road was not easy at all, what kind of power was it that made her insist on riding up the mountain just to deliver the book?

A person's small power can bring infinite changes and change the lives of others. Through this story, we can see the changes brought about by reading, understand the meaning of reading, and find the motivation for reading.

★A real historical adaptation tells the story of a group of librarians who worked silently in the 1930s in the United States. They were not afraid of hardships and did not take any money. They only sent books to poor residents to go up the mountain so that they could read and write and change their destiny.

About the Author

Heather Henson

Heather was born in Kentucky, USA, and grew up in a family-run theater. After graduation, he worked as a children's book editor. After living in New York for many years, she returned to her hometown and focused on writing. Heather's works focus on heroes who have not been praised in history and praise their achievements. This gave birth to this brave story about a group of librarians who provided books to countless families in the Appalachian Mountains in the 1930s to help them improve their literacy rate and learn new knowledge.
