艾瑞．卡爾（Eric Carle）
艾瑞．卡爾爺爺是孩子的知音。他留著大鬍子，拿著一枝畫筆，用神奇的拼貼魔法，創造出世界上獨一無二的色彩；他充滿童心，用豐富的想像力和童稚的話語，走進孩子充滿幻想的世界，至今已創作超過70多本色彩繽紛、又充滿想像力的作品。
艾瑞．卡爾曾榮獲美國《紐約時報》年度最佳童書、義大利波隆那書展設計大獎，並在英國、法國、日本等地獲得70餘次國際性大獎，近年又獲得美國圖書館協會授予羅拉．英格爾．懷爾特獎，肯定他的作品的藝術性。
2002年他成立了「艾瑞．卡爾圖畫書美術館」(The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art)，成為美國第一座圖畫書美術館。
