Chinese characters are among the most interesting in the world. They are composed of characters (components/radicals). If a character consists of more than one component, changing the position of the components creates different characters. For example, using "日" (sun) and "木" (wood/tree)
  • Placing "日" above "木" becomes "" (gǎo).
  • Placing "日" inside/middle of "木" becomes "" (dōng).
  • Placing "日" below "木" becomes "" (yǎo).
