About the Author Giancarlo Ascari is an Italian writer and cartoonist. Articles and illustrations are often published in major Italian newspapers and magazines, and he also co-creates graphic novels with many Italian authors. 
Illustrator Profile Pia Valentinis is an Italian illustrator. Born in 1965, graduated from G. Sello National Institute of Art. She draws many picture books for children, which is widely loved by children and has been selected for the "Bologna International Children's Book Illustration Exhibition" for many times. Her books "Heroes Are Not Afraid of Cats" and "Storytellers" published in Taiwan were also selected for the "Barcelona International Illustration Biennale" and "Bradis Illustration Biennale" respectively. In addition to creating picture books, she also ventured into graphic novels, publishing her first graphic novel "Ferriera" in 2014.

作、繪者簡介

阿斯卡里(Giancarlo Ascari)

 
  義大利作家、漫畫家。文章與插畫時常刊登於義大利各大報章雜誌,也和多位義大利作家共同創作圖像小說。

瓦倫提尼(Pia Valentinis)
 
  義大利插畫家。1965年出生,畢業於賽洛藝術學院(G. Sello National Institute of Art)。她為兒童繪製許多繪本,廣受孩子們的喜愛,多次入選「波隆那國際兒童書插畫展」。而她在台灣出版的《英雄不怕貓》和《說故事的人》,更分別獲選「巴塞隆納國際插畫雙年展」和「布拉迪斯插畫雙年展」。除了繪本創作外,她也跨足圖像小說,2014年出版第一本圖像小說《Ferriera》。

  當阿斯卡里遇上瓦倫提尼,兩人如絕妙拍檔,一起合寫文字、繪製插畫,創作多本大人和小孩都喜愛的知識圖畫書。淺顯易懂、時而幽默的文字,搭配色彩鮮明、復古趣味的插畫,讓讀者在學習知識時,更經歷一場精采的視覺饗宴。兩人共同創作的知識圖畫書,主題包羅萬象,涵蓋藝術、美食、時裝、文學等各領域,在義大利出版,並賣出多國版權。作品有:《Yum! Il cibo in tutti i sensi》、《Zip! Vestiti per tutte le stagioni》、《Gong! Viaggio nel tempo》和《Oltre il giardino del signor Monet》。
